SUITABILITY: First and foremost, Hawks is of age, and is actually quite mature for his age despite his flippant outward persona. He's been training intensely to be a pro Hero and what is essentially a CIA agent in his world, since he was a child, and had to grow up very quickly. He was running a pro hero agency by the time he was 18, with a lot of responsibility, and has not only survived but thrived, ending up in the top 10 of pro heroes within a couple of years after that.

Hawks's canon is also quite serious despite being a shounen, and deals with a lot of social issues in serious ways, such as racism/discrimination, inequality, abuse, and outright war. Hawks's own plotline in this story is a particularly mature one, as he's one of a very few heroes shown to actually kill someone in the series.

While there is virtually no romantic or sexual themes in My Hero Academia, that is not for lack of it being a mature canon, and Hawks is flippant and carefree with his words enough that I can see him being quite the flirt. He's also quite eager to go home, and will have no problems doing what it takes to do that, even if that includes playing the game. I don't think he'll have any trouble fitting in with the themes and sexuality of Golden Peacock.

HISTORY: Hawks was born to a murderer and the woman who harbored him, protecting him from getting arrested. His upbringing was heavily abusive and neglectful. At some point when Hawks was quite young, Endeavor arrested his father, and it was then that he realized heroes were real and not just fantasy characters. He and his mother were put out on the street and she encouraged him to steal for a living, but he couldn't. Shortly after, he used his wings to rescue the victims of a high-octane car crash and this is what alerted the Hero Public Safety Commission to him. They paid his mother and took him to be trained to be a hero. The training was intense and very difficult.

Hawks became a Pro Hero at 18 and was in the Top 10 Pro Heroes before 20. After the attack in Kamino, the HPSC informed him that he was to be a double-agent and infiltrate the villains cabal, an order he had no choice whether to follow. After speaking to Endeavor about possibly working together, he and Endeavor fought a High-End Nomu together, a fight during which he used all the feathers in his wings. It turns out that the disappearance of Best Jeanist, another Pro Hero, and this attack by the Nomu were both part of Hawks's attempting to prove to the villains that he was on their side.

Hawks was made aware that he had microdevices in his wings to track and listen to him, and then had to use code to alert Endeavor to the plans of the villains, highlighting portions of a book for Endeavor to decode. Shortly afterward, he finds the clues that he needs to initiate the war against the Paranormal Liberation Front (the name of the villains cabal), and organizes it with his various contacts. He reveled himself as a double agent and was forced to kill Twice, one of the villains, who could turn the tide of the war on his own. This is something he regrets deeply, because he wanted to reform him. After killing Twice, Dabi confronted Hawks and it is during this confrontation that Hawks is coming to Golden Peacock.

ABILITIES: Hawks has a Quirk called Fierce Wings, originating from the red wings he was born with. Primarily, he can use these wings to fly at a high rate of speed. The feathers are detachable and he can control them from a distance, which makes his Quirk very versatile. These feathers serve various uses:

Feather Blades: Hawks can take two of his larger feathers and harden them to be used as blades, which he uses in a swordfighting style against enemies to protect himself. These feather blades are light but very strong, even able to cut through metal.

Feather Projectiles: Hawks can use his feathers as projectiles to attack from a distance. Their speed, hardness, and trajectory can be controlled from a distance.

Feather Carrying: Hawks can use his feathers to carry medium-sized objects (such as a large rock or a human being) from one place to another, usually used to rescue people from dangerous situations. He can use multiple feathers to carry larger objects.

Feather Vibrations: Hawks's feathers can sense vibrations similar to echolocation, allowing him to use them to rescue people (by locating people among debris) or for espionage purposes, using them to listen to people's conversations from a distance.

Weaknesses: Hawks's feathers are not infinite, and though he can reattach them, he will eventually run out. The feathers take about four days to grow back entirely. While he is bereft of feathers, he's unable to fly, but can start using them for various purposes as soon as they grow in, and he can fly when they are about half-grown-in. They are also very weak against fire, being highly flammable. Additionally, he is not built for strength but speed, so he's lacking in brute strength.

Other Strengths: Hawks has very keen sight and enhanced speed. He is also highly-trained in espionage, social skills, and combat. Additionally, he is very intelligent, quick and tactical. Hawks also has the usual strong constitution and ability to take high amounts of damage that most shonen characters have, though he's not as tough physically as other characters in the series.

VICES:

Manipulative: Hawks is quite manipulative, both by nature and nurture. When he was a child, he had surprisingly intuitive takes on his parents, calling them 'broken people' and planning specifically to keep his emotions to himself and hold on so he wouldn't end up like them. To this end, he apologized and did his best to please his abusive father and enabling mother.

Once he was taken in by the HPSC, this trait was only flanderized as they trained him to be an undercover agent and even assassin. He was highly trained in social skills and other techniques to allow him to manipulate the people around him even more. This proved to be successful in his career, particularly when he was undercover with the villains. He was able to convince many of the villains (though not all of them) that he was trustworthy and completely on their side by making it look like he'd killed Best Jeanist and by luring Endeavor into a situation where he knew that Dabi was going to attack him with a High-End Nomu. This was especially effective on Twice, who trusted him so much that he was willing to tell him secret information that he shouldn't have told him, a hint which Hawks was able to pass on to the Pro Heroes and which resulted in the War against the Paranormal Liberation Front.

Incendiary: In Hawks's first appearance in the anime, he is being honored with his spot on the Pro Hero's Top 10, and he takes the mic, interrupts another Hero, and delivers a speech that challenges the status quo in a way that's quite rude, earning himself the ire of the top Pro Hero Endeavor. The truth is that Hawks likes to rile other people up. Sarcastic and with a cynical front, he likes to challenge people, even going so far as to mock Twice a little bit at first when confronting him, before softening a little as he got closer to killing him. This trait also comes out a lot when he's speaking to Endeavor, constantly goading the other man to lead him in the direction Hawks wants him to go.

However, he will also play submissive when it will cause people to get more upset, or prove his point better, than fighting would otherwise. He has little concern for formalities or tradition, and has little to no 'ego' such as it is, despite his arrogance. For example, when Bakugo claimed to move more quickly than he did, Hawks simply smiled and serenely agreed, which was likely to make Bakugo more annoyed than if he'd disagreed.

Arrogant: While Hawks has little in the way of 'ego,' with no desire to be a leader or need to prove himself better than others, he is certainly an arrogant person. The fact that he feels above those kinds of things is just proof of his arrogance. Hawks couldn't really care less what his colleagues think of him, though he does care what the public thinks of him, and lacks any semblance of respect when speaking to said colleagues. Even when addressing the man who is his hero and inspiration, the top-level Pro Hero in his world, Endeavor, Hawks is flippant and borderline insulting.

This attitude can also be seen by how he treats his sidekicks, having them merely do cleanup while he takes care of the villains himself. He didn't treat his work study student any differently, leaving him behind while he raced ahead with his superior speed to do the work without taking time to train him much. He only decided to actually mentor his student after he decided he'd improved enough on his own to be worthy of it.

VIRTUES:

Compassionate: Optimistic and forgiving when it comes to others, Hawks is a compassionate, understanding person who treats other people the way he'd want to be treated. There are many examples of this in the anime. When Endeavor was revealed by Dabi to have a history of being abusive to his family, Hawks believed Endeavor and backed him up when he said he wanted to make amends for it and heal his relationships with his family. He also showed it by believing in his predecessor, Lady Nagant, after she had turned to darkness, encouraging her and telling her she still had the heart of a hero.

His compassion also showed with Twice - despite the fact that he ended up having to kill him, Hawks pleaded for Twice to turn himself in so he could be rehabilitated. He believed deeply that Twice was a good person who simply fell in with the wrong crowd, thought of him as a genuine friend, and he felt incredibly guilty for having exploited his trust. His second interaction with his work study student, Tokoyami, also showed his compassion - he was proud of Tokoyami for improving on his weak points, and went out of his way to help him work out ways to continue using his strong points as well.

Moral: Hawks is an inherently good person, with a strong moral compass that he never loses track of, despite being undercover and having to do bad things in order to prove himself to the villains. This has been true of him since he was just a child, and in spite of being raised by criminals. When he was just a child, after his father was arrested by Endeavor, he and his mother were seeking shelter in a subway station, without a home, and his mother encouraged him to do anything he was capable of to get them money, implying that he should steal wallets and purses with his Quirk, but Hawks was simply unable to do it. It would've been incredibly easy for him to do so, but instead, he rescued the victims of a high-speed car crash with his Quirk.

This is a trait that continues on to the present, where Hawks was able to retain his moral compass despite being surrounded by villains and their propaganda for quite a long time. Despite being around those people and participating in a few "bad" things to prove himself, he felt disgusted at having to maintain that double-life and pass as a villain.

Intelligent: Hawks is incredibly intelligent, even stated to be a prodigy in his canon. He's was intelligent enough as a child to realize his parents were broken people, and plan to keep himself from that same fate. That intelligence continued to aid him in his career as he grew up, as he took to the training he was put through very well. Once he was put into his double-agent role, he was intelligent enough to find ways to "kill" Best Jeanist and have Endeavor attacked by a High-End Nomu, Hood. He was also able to connect All for One with Izuku and All Might relatively quickly.

When he was bugged by the Paranormal Liberation Front, Hawks was intelligent enough to work around it and still find clues to what the PLF had planned and pass them on to Endeavor. Even the way he did this was quite intelligent, specifically stating an opinion that was contrary to what he'd previously stated, then handing him a book with passages highlighted, the first character of which spelled out a sentence. He also planned in advance for how he wanted things to look before the attach by Hood. All in all, Hawks is a very smart person, an underchallenged prodigy who uses his intelligence for good.

SUIT REQUESTS:

♣ Clubs: Ever since Hawks was a child, he's made a point of suppressing his emotions, initially to avoid abuse but later to be believable undercover and in his career as a Hero. He puts on a flippant, cheerful front, but that's to cover a nature that's manipulative and cunning, very intelligent, and he's used to using his brains to sort out the situations he finds himself in. Because of this, I can see him being sorted into the Clubs suit.

I think the symptoms associated with the Clubs suit activation would particularly motivate Hawks, because he would find it very difficult to not be able to rely on his mind and his keen intellect to navigate the Casino, if he were to not have sex the way he's meant to. I think even one brush with these side effects would have him eager not to repeat them.

♥ Hearts: This is my second choice specifically because Hawks is so adept at suppressing and hiding his own emotions. Even the front he puts up is unemotional, if casual and cocky. Hawks is made uncomfortable by his own emotions, and that's a predilection that was only encouraged by the career he was placed into at a young age. Hawks does not make decisions with his heart, but his mind, and any suit activation symptoms would be overwhelming and very uncomfortable for him.

They may also allow for him to open up to other characters, should they be activated and with him being overwhelmed, allowing for deeper CR. If he is forced to feel these emotional effects from his suit activation, it may open up some of his own repressed emotion and leave him more open to sharing that with other characters.
